Les r\u00e9centes attaques perp\u00e9tr\u00e9es contre des communaut\u00e9s chr\u00e9tiennes au Pakistan ont provoqu\u00e9 une onde de choc \u00e0 travers le monde. En tant qu’universitaires et leaders religieux engag\u00e9s, repr\u00e9sentant diverses confessions et r\u00e9gions du monde, nous condamnons avec la plus grande fermet\u00e9 ces actes de violence inqualifiables.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Nos traditions spirituelles partagent un socle commun de valeurs sacr\u00e9es. Comme le rappelle l’\u00c9p\u00eetre de Jean : \u00ab Si quelqu’un dit : “J’aime Dieu”, et qu’il ha\u00efsse son fr\u00e8re, c’est un menteur \u00bb (1 Jean 4:20). Le Coran enseigne quant \u00e0 lui : \u00ab Celui qui a tue un homme\u00a0 qui lui-meme n’a pas tue,\u00a0 ou qui n’a pas commis de violence sur la terre,\u00a0 est considere comme s’il avait tue tous les hommes; et celui qui sauve un seul homme\u00a0 est considere comme s’il avait Sauve tous les hommes \u00bb (Al-Ma’idah 5:32). Ces textes sacr\u00e9s nous enjoignent unanimement \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger la dignit\u00e9 inali\u00e9nable de toute vie humaine.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Les violences ciblant des civils innocents, la destruction de foyers et la profanation de lieux de culte constituent une violation flagrante de ces principes fondamentaux. En tant que th\u00e9ologiens et intellectuels, nous avons le devoir imp\u00e9rieux de d\u00e9noncer ces atrocit\u00e9s et d’\u00e9lever la voix contre toute instrumentalisation de la religion \u00e0 des fins de violence.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Nous tenons \u00e0 exprimer notre enti\u00e8re solidarit\u00e9 avec nos fr\u00e8res et s\u0153urs chr\u00e9tiens du Pakistan, particuli\u00e8rement aux familles des victimes. Nous appelons l’ensemble des communaut\u00e9s religieuses du pays \u00e0 \u0153uvrer ensemble pour la r\u00e9conciliation et \u00e0 rejeter fermement toute rh\u00e9torique de haine interconfessionnelle.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Nous enjoignons aux autorit\u00e9s pakistanaises et \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 internationale :<\/span><\/p>\r\n

  1. \u00c0 garantir la protection effective des minorit\u00e9s religieuses<\/span><\/li>\r\n
  2. \u00c0 poursuivre impartialement les responsables de ces violences<\/span><\/li>\r\n
  3. \u00c0 mettre en place des m\u00e9canismes de pr\u00e9vention durable<\/span><\/li>\r\n
  4. \u00c0 promouvoir activement l’\u00e9ducation au dialogue interreligieux<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
