With support from NCCMR, the Christian-Muslim Center for Understanding and Partnership, in cooperation with the Egyptian Family House and the Ministry of Education, organized the second “Peace Journeys” visit for children from Mostafa El-Nahhas Official International School. The children visited Al-Thawra Mosque, the Episcopal Church in Heliopolis, and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, learning about Egypt’s religious and cultural diversity, shared national identity, and the values of mutual understanding and respect. They concluded the day by expressing what they had learned through writing, poetry, drawing, and a collaborative artwork.
The Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies in Jordan hosted a three-day workshop for Indonesia’s Leimena Institute. Both are NCCMR member centers, and the NCCMR-supported program explored religious diversity, urban coexistence, and interfaith dialogue through field visits across Amman. Through the NCCMR Micro-Grant Initiative, the Ethiopian Interfaith Forum for Development, Dialogue and Action (EIFDDA) brought together diverse faith and community leaders in Ambo City, Ethiopia, for peacebuilding training, interfaith dialogue, and collaborative action. Participants from Christian, Muslim, and Oromo traditional faith communities strengthened their skills in conflict prevention, trust-building, reconciliation, and countering harmful narratives. They also shared meals, prayed, exchanged experiences, and planted trees as symbols of unity, hope, and sustainable peace. This NCCMR-funded project is strengthening local interfaith cooperation and building lasting foundations for peaceful coexistence. #NCCMR #MicroGrants #Peacebuilding #InterfaithDialogue #Ethiopia #SocialCohesion NCCMR.org
