NCCMR is a network of distinguished centers for Christian-Muslim relations that have a proven record for maintaining and enhancing Christian-Muslim dialogue and engagement in their local communities in Africa, Asia, and the MENA region. NCCMR’s members relentlessly pursue its aim of improving Christian-Muslim engagement by promoting peace and an ethos of faith.
Two-thirds of the world’s Christians and the vast majority of Muslims live in the Majority World. The representatives of their communities, however, have limited access to academic resources and seldom find the opportunity to exchange ideas about their faith or about matters relating to their respective religious constituencies. As the world steps into the post-secular age, interfaith relations are needed now more than ever, both for communal coexistence and peaceful international relations.
Christian-Muslim relations scholars and interfaith practitioners who are engaged in substantial theological exchange are poised to impact relations between Christians and Muslims in Africa, Asia, and the MENA region. We hope to assist and equip these scholars/members to contribute to policy-making on a global scale.
“Love is born into every human being; it calls back the halves of our original nature together; it tries to make one out of two and heal the wound of human nature.”
