We envision a world where Christian-Muslim relations are marked by mutual understanding, respect and collaboration for a culture of peace and harmony. Our aim is to connect individuals and organizations, help them share knowledge, exchange living experience, and promote a spirit of mutual learning and curiosity. We seek to build long-term relations and generate workable solutions to real societal challenges.

As part of the official visit of the NCCMR Steering Committee, the delegation visited the Dominican Institute for Oriental Studies (IDEO) in Cairo, one of the Network’s member centers. Fr. Emmanuel Pisani, Director of IDEO, welcomed the delegation and introduced the institute’s vision, its academic programs, and its long-standing contribution to the study of Islamic heritage and scholarship, as well as its role in supporting Christian–Muslim relations. The visit included a tour of IDEO’s renowned library, one of the world’s most significant collections of specialized works in Islamic studies. NCCMR extends its gratitude to Fr Pisani and salutes IDEO’s important work and looks forward to strengthening collaboration through future joint research and academic initiatives. #NCCMR

We had the distinct pleasure of convening the annual meeting of the Steering Committee of the Network of Centers for Christian–Muslim Relations (NCCMR) in Cairo, Nov. 14-19, 2025. It was a productive week that included a series of meetings to review the network’s ongoing developments, coordinate current programs, and explore future areas of cooperation across member centers in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. We extend our sincere gratitude to Archbishop Dr. Mouneer H. Anis for his gracious welcome and steadfast support of the steering committee. His efforts were vital in enabling several members to obtain their visas and in arranging meetings with key dignitaries in Egypt. In appreciation of his invaluable contributions, we presented him with this plaque of recognition. #NCCMR
