Dar Al-Andalus Centre

Dar Al-Andalus Centre (DAAC), founded in 2019, is a non-governmental organization that focuses on peacebuilding and conflict-resolution through alternative narratives. 

Mission: To empower communities through peacebuilding, reconciliation, and development initiatives that foster resilience, social cohesion, and sustainable livelihoods.

Vision: DAAC envisions a Nigeria where peace, dignity, and mutual respect prevail, enabling individuals and communities to thrive despite differences in identity and the scars of conflict.

Notable Past Activities and Achievements

  • Successfully reconciled former combatants and their communities in the Northeast of Nigeria through the DAAC Sulhu program.
  • Successfully trained over 1,000 community leaders, social influencers, and journalists on building community resilience, alternative narratives, Shariah intelligence, and conflict prevention across the northeastern states of Nigeria.
  • Successfully conducted youth peacebuilding programs across the states of Adamawa, Taraba, and Plateau, and established Peace Clubs in several secondary schools in these states.
