Strength in Diversity Development Centre (SDDC)

The Strength in Diversity Development Centre (SDDC) was established and registered as a not-for-profit organization on April 21, 2014. We are an interreligious and intercultural dialogue center, working on peacebuilding and reconciliation, conflict mediation and transformation, countering violent extremism and violent narratives, and promoting social impact and advocacy for sustainable development in Nigeria.

Vision: A safe, peaceful, and diverse society where people live together and practice their faith without fear or humiliation.

Mission: To create a shift in the current value system to promote quality interfaith and intercultural relationships by educating, engaging, and empowering groups and individuals in Nigeria.

Our Achievements:

  • Interfaith peacebuilding interventions on Christian-Muslim relations for sustainable development in Nigeria.
  • Interfaith Literacy Project – Development of Interfaith Scriptural Reflection Networks in 37 states of Nigeria.
  • Interfaith platform Live TV program of the Abrahamic faiths.
  • Establishment of the International Religious Outreach Project – training and capacity development project.
  • Establishment of stakeholders forum on national dialogue on peace and security in Nigeria.
  • Establishment of a think-tank group on FoRB and religious moderation in Nigeria.
  • Establishment of the International Centre for Religious Moderation in Nigeria, located in Lagos and Abuja.

  • Advance interreligious and intercultural understanding.
  • Advocate for good governance and social justice.
  • Create a shift in the value system to promote quality religious and cultural relations by educating, engaging, and empowering individuals, groups and leaders to create institutional changes that will transform communities to provide fuller opportunities for all.
